2023 Technician Appreciation Week Trivia

2023 International Laboratory Animal Technician Week is Here! To show our appreciation for all that you do, we've created a fun game of lab animal trivia where all eligible participants have a chance to win prizes!
Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday during tech week (Jan 30th – Feb 5th) there will be a separate google form sent out in email to current WBAALAS members, as well as posted on both the WBAALAS website and the private WBAALAS Facebook page. All you have to do is fill out your answers, name, and institution! Your submissions can’t be viewed by other participants, so don’t worry if some of the answers are guesses!

Tech Trivia Rules

  1. You do not have to be a current WBAALAS member to participate, but you should join us if you haven’t already!
  2. You do not need a google account to participate.
  3. Anyone can play, but you must be a Technician to be eligible to win individual prizes (Animal tech, Vet tech, Research tech, etc.)
  4. For the daily prize, only entries submitted by 11:59pm PST on the day of those trivia questions will be eligible.
  5. The overall winner ($100 gift card) must participate in all 3-days of trivia to be eligible. Entries submitted Saturday, February 4th at 11:59pm PST are eligible.
  6. At least one technician from your institution must participate in each day of trivia to be eligible to win the institution prize. Entries submitted Saturday, February 4th at 11:59pm PST are eligible.

Tech Week Trivia Prizes:

I. Daily Prize – 25$ gift card

Each day, a winner will be selected from all eligible participants to receive a $25 gift card!

Only entries submitted by 11:59pm PST on the day of those trivia questions will be eligible for the daily prize.

II. Overall Individual Winner – 100$ gift card:

At the end of trivia, an overall individual winner (most total correct answers) will be selected from all eligible participants to receive a $100 gift card!

The overall winner must participate in all 3-days of trivia to be eligible. In the case of a tie, a random generator will be used to determine the winner. All entries submitted through Saturday, February 4th at 11:59pm PST are eligible.

III. Institution Prize – Ice-cream (or treats of your choice) Party:

At the end of trivia, an institution will be selected to win an ice-cream, or any treat of your choice, party!

At least one technician from your institution must participate in each day of trivia to be eligible to win. A random generator will be used to determine the winner out of all of the eligible institutions. All entries submitted through Saturday, February 4th at 11:59pm PST are eligible.
